Security

Privacy by architecture, not by promise.

Minimal data by design. AwayClean only knows what it needs to clean at the right time: whether your home is empty, your robots and their map. Your data stays yours, and you can delete it whenever you want.

Encrypted Roborock Link

Your Roborock password is never stored. We keep only an encrypted session (AES-256) to talk to your robots, and you can delete everything in one step from Settings.

Local Geofencing

Your location never leaves your phone. Your own automation (iOS Shortcuts or Home Assistant) decides home or away and sends us just that, nothing more.

Hosted in the EU

Your data is stored in the EU (Paris and Frankfurt). No ads, no selling data: the app runs no trackers at all.

Before you start

Do you sell robots?+

No. AwayClean is an app for the Roborock robot vacuum you already own. It adds automatic cleaning based on who is home; it doesn't come with a robot.

Which Roborock models work?+

It's built for Roborock vacuums that you control from the Roborock app. It's tested on the Roborock S5 Max, and other models are being confirmed. If yours doesn't work, tell us through the feedback button in the app.

Do I need to install anything on the robot?+

No. You sign in with your Roborock account in AwayClean, and it uses the rooms and map your robot already knows. Your Roborock password is never stored.

How does it know when I'm away?+

Each person gets a personal link that an iPhone Shortcut or Home Assistant calls when they leave or arrive. AwayClean only ever receives "home" or "away" — never your location.

Is AwayClean made by Roborock?+

No. AwayClean is an independent project and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Roborock.
